Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a writer, director musician, actor, and actor who has directed numerous episodes of TV, including The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. She was also co-producer and Co-EP on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently attached to two pilots that are currently in progress. Milena was chosen as one of the eight directors for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable was her TV series and short film. Starring Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort It was awarded Best Episodic at Seattle International Film Festival as well as the Best Pilot award at SoHo International Film Festival. The short film Temporary (2017) was screened across the country. She won the award for Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. and the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 TV episodes acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). She also starred in the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) that led to her role as the very first and the only female detective on the Emmy-winning television series Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have all featured her or featured her in reruns. Milena has appeared in numerous films which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015), starring opposite Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Born in Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian at her high school. She then completed two majors in vocal performance and premed, with minors in dance and violin at the University of Central Oklahoma, also graduating valedictorian. Soon after she took advantage of her ballet and classical training to perform on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
