Markie Post

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She began her professional career as a film and TV producer, notably "The New Card Sharks", (1978), and "Card Sharks," (1986). Post produced projects such as Double Dare (1976), and appeared on various TV shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). Perhaps her biggest TV performance was "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). She was featured in more than 156 episodes of the comedy between 1984 and 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 until April 7, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30 90) was her second wedding to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo Alto, California and grew up near Walnut Creek, California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She performed trick roping at The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the cremated remains returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifelong Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021. She was three months from what would be her 71st birthday on November 4. She died 27 days before fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed at the age of 11 on July 11, 2021. Even though the two shows were totally unrelated, Night Court (1984) ended in 1992 , with her character Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) was released later in the year with Post playing a new character Georgie Lahti. She was also a part of Washington DC (and later moving to a small town).
