Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (pronounced NOH-vitch) is a Canadian actor from Canada. She is best known for her role as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand on the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science-fiction series Continuum. She also appeared in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is of Polish origin and lived for a year in Poland in the ninth grade. She lived in Poland with her uncle , and she attended an elementary school in Jelenia Gora. She went on to study at Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. She began her career in 2002 with brief appearances on the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 until 2009 she was the character of Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. In 2008, she played the lead role in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand as a regular character in the television drama Caprica along with Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. The actress later appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as an actress in Jane Espenson's second series, the web-based romantic comedy Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She also played Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film produced by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno was originally shot in 2012. It was released internationally in 2015. Apanowicz was cast in Volition as Angela. It came out in 2020. In the year 2019, Apanowicz was the lead character Sandy in the second season of the Netflix film You.
