Dawson, born May 9, 1979in the United States, is an American actress. Her debut
in a feature film was in the 1995 independent drama Kids. Her subsequent roles
include He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (2002). Dawson also
provides voice-overs for Warner Bros./DC Comics and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's
Nickelodeon unit. For her role as Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award
in Best Supporting Actress Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was
nominated for the Critics Choice Award for Best actress in Comedy. Dawson was
born in New York City on May 9 1979. Isabel Celeste is her mother and has
Afro-Cuban origin. Rosario was 16 at the time Isabel was born. Her mother,
Isabel Celeste, never married Patrick C. Harris. Rosario was a teenager the
first children of her mother's marriage to Greg Dawson (a construction worker).
From this marriage, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is four years her
junior. Dawson is also well-known for her roles in comic adaptations of books.
The most notable are Gail Sin City (2005), Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to
Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder Women on the
DC Animated Movie Universe. She also voiced Barbara Gordon/Batgirl as The Lego
Batman Movie. In 2020, she was the voice of Ahsoka Tano in the second season of
The Mandalorian, and is expected to be a part of the forthcoming Disney+
original series Ahsoka. In 2021, she'll reprise her role as Young Rock, a
Dwayne Johnson comedy , autobiographical comedic comedy.
